Dr. Stefano Negrini was  born in Vigevano in 1963. He received a degree in 1988 in Medicine in the University of Pavia with an experimental thesis and in 1991 he specialized in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, in the  University of Pavia. At present, he is the Scientific Director of ISICO (Italian Scientific Spine Institute – www.isico.it). He is the Chief-Editor of “Europa Medicophysica” (www.europamedicophysica.org), Official Journal of Italian Society of  Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (SIMFER), of the Mediterranean Forum of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (MFPRM) and of the European Federation of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (EFPRM). He is National Scientific Secretary of the Italian of Scoliosis Study Group (GSS – www.gss.it). He coordinate the Monographs in Rehabilitation of Spine Pathology, published by GSS. He is an Associate Editor of the International journal “Scoliosis”. He was one of the founder of the International Society of Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT – www.sosort.org) and of the Societé Internationale de Recherche et d'Etudes sur le Rachis (SIRER). He was the President of many National and International Congress. He wrote  25 articles on magazine reviewed (Medline/Index Medicus), another 78 articles, 20 books, 125 chapter of books, 110 abstract. He was Contract Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Study of Milano and Brescia. He was a teacher in many School for Rehabilitation Therapist. He was  a teacher of many Courses for Doctors and Physiotherapists. He was responsible of 3 National Research Project (in 1999, 2001 and 2002). From 2001 to 2002, he was responsible of Scientific Secretary of Care & Research Institute (IRCCS) Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation ONLUS and responsible of Orthopaedic Sector of the Orthopaedic Unit in the Centre Care & Research Institute (IRCCS) S. Maria Nascente of Milan, Don Gnocchi Foundation (from 1999). He was from 1994 to 1999,  Doctor Assistant in the Scoliosis department of Orthopaedic Unit; from 1988 to 1991 he was in the Service of Physical Teraphy and Rehabilitation of IRCCS Policlinico S. Matteo, Pavia.
